A Brief History
1970s
Founded in 1977, by Dr. Tan Ta Sen (Right), UTRACO began its geotechnical operations by providing the service of drilling and installation of water wells in Singapore, providing water to the Jurong district.
1980s to 1990s
In the 1980s, seeing the potential in micropiling works, UTRACO began to offer micropiling services in Singapore, becoming the first company in the country to do so.
Within five years, UTRACO carved a niche as a Specialist Contractor in the field of Geotechnical Engineering in Singapore
2000s and Beyond
In 2008, we moved into out new premises at Pioneer Place.
Today, UTRACO has over a hundred employees in its core activity of Geotechnical Engineering.
And the company has also diversified into other areas such as Marine & Offshore Engineering, Structural Systems, and other specialised engineering services.
